HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY

Many of you will shortly be receiving a Housing Needs Survey from Cheshire East Council. The Council, acting through its investment company, Engine of the North, is seeking to develop a small plot of land to the north of the village for affordable housing.  The proposal is to deliver approximately 12 new homes, which will be reserved for local people and at 50% less than the open market value.  Although the site is previously developed land (i.e. brownfield), it is also within the green belt, so there is a requirement for CEC to carry out a housing needs survey before taking the proposals any further.
